Reading List
Way of the Turtle - Curtis Faith (Absolutely essential, written by the most
successful student of Richard Dennis' Turtle Traders. Curtis Faith is also the
author of the Turtle Rules which many have read. There is not much new
or exciting here, but that is basically the point: the same rules that worked
200 years ago work today, and will always work. This book will teach you
why and how that is so).
Trend Following - Mike Covel (NOT Mike Coval) (profiles many of the top
money managers: John Henry, Ed Seykota, Richard Dennis, et al) (Required
Reading for Attendees to our 3 Day 1-on-1)
Come Into My Trading Room - Alexander Elder (if you are new to the
markets and to trading, I highly recommend picking this book up, as well as
the companion guide with tests and such. This could be the best 'textbook'
on trading out there).
Come Into My Trading Room Study Guide - Alexander Elder
The Market Wizards - Jack Schwager (Absolutely Essential..interviews
with top traders and fund managers)
The New Market Wizards - Jack Schwager (Absolutely Essential)
Reminiscences of a Stock Operator - Edwin LeFevre (Absolutely Essential)
The Black Swan - Nassim Nicholas Taleb (Essential)
Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom - Van K. Tharp (system
development and money management)
Understanding Wall Street - Jeffrey Little & Lucien Rhodes (first book I
ever read on Wall Street and I loved it)
Liars Poker - Michael Lewis (Fun, not essential...a look at the bond
business in the 80's through the eyes of a top-producing Salomon Brothers
sales trader, required reading on Wall Street)
Running Money - Andy Kessler (really well-written and funny account of
running a hedge fund during the dot com and telecom boom of the late
nineties. He takes a fundamental approach to investing which is
completely opposite of what EZ Traders do and teach. At the same time it
is important to understand that there are many ways to approach trading
and be successful.)
When Genius Failed - Roger Lowenstein (the dramatic rise and even more
dramatic fall of Long Term Capital Management, who as a single hedge fund
founded by Nobel Prize winners, had losses amounting to potential financial
ruin for many of the most prominent Wall Street banks, and almost the
entire financial system)
The Trading Tribe - Ed Seykota
